Porcelain

Porcelain a non-porous ceramic clay mixture, containing silica and other minerals, which is then baked at thousands of degrees. The final product is a hard, scratch resistant, and glossy surface that behaves a lot like glass. Porcelain is often used as wall cladding, in showers, and as fireplace surrounds. It can also be used for tables and countertops. Unlike other materials the color doesn’t pass through porcelain so edges are often mitered or waterfalled.
