Austin, TX — Rocksolid Stone Works, a Cleveland, OH based natural stone fabricator, has earned the designator of Marble Institute of America (MIA) Accredited Natural Stone Fabricator.
Achievement of the certification was announced by the Artisan Group, of which Rocksolid Stone Works is a member.
Currently only 25 natural stone fabricators in the country have achieved accreditation from the Cleveland, OH-based MIA. Eight of those fabricators are Artisan Group members, according to the association.
They include Blume's Solid Surface Prod cuts of Freeport, PA; Creative Countertops, of Las Vegas, NV; Innovative Surfaces, of Hastings, MN; NBC Solid Surfaces, of Springfield, VT; Rocky Mountain Stone of Albuquerque, NM; SolidTops, of Easton , MD; Surface Products, of Cornelius, NC, and Rocksolid, a division of Wood Dimensions.
"This accreditation is a symbol of the dedication and professionalism of our staff" said Thomas Rocks, president of Rocksolid Stone Works.
"This is a fine achievement and we are particularly proud to be the first stone fabrication shop in Ohio to receive this prestigious designation," he added.
To become an MIA Accredited Natural Stone Fabricator, a company must have successfully completed three phases of application, including a comprehensive exam and site visit, which includes a facility review, document review and one or more installation visits.
All Artisan Group members have achieved or have begun the process to achieve full accreditation with the MIA, according to the Texas based association.
